![]() ![]() ![]() If you haven’t seen or heard of Total Recall, you might enjoy Bloodshot more than I did. ![]() Which is part of the reason it was so predictable. Of course it isn’t exactly the same as Total Recall or Robocop, but it is pretty darn close. My main issue with Bloodshot is that it was too familiar. Vin Diesel is basically doing the same thing over and over, which gets to be too much. Due to the nature of the plot, the scenes get repetitive real quick. But the action scenes alone cannot make this a good movie. Does the plot take away from that? Well, not really. The action itself is pretty fantastic though, if you are a fan of action movies like me. I found myself unable to focus because I knew what was going to happen already. This made the movie switch from intriguing to dull. Within ten minutes I had correctly guessed several things that were surely supposed to be big reveals. Unfortunately when there isn’t any action happening, Bloodshot is slow and boring. It was obvious that it was going to be an action packed movie, and it seemed like Vin Diesel was the perfect casting for the lead role. And then I found out Bloodshot was based on a comic book and I got really excited. When I first saw the Bloodshot trailer, I was intrigued. What had such great potential falls flat time and time again. Bloodshot is an action packed movie, but also predictable, slow, and very familiar. ![]()
